Based on a practice proven concept and featuring new information center stations, our 4th “Practical Days for Occupational Health and Safety“ is ready to go forward.
Given almost 5,000 employees from several Group companies signing up, the “Practical Days“ are setting a new record this year. This also applies to our timeline, which has now been extended to four weeks, running from May 20 to June 15. Here, the organizers responded to the underutilized late and night shifts of the previous year and expanded the available range of day shifts.
Our management welcomed the first 70 participants to the event, which has now become an important module of our safety culture and a good tradition, as Jens Loock explained. The event provides scope for further development and awareness-raising in occupational safety, according to our head of the HR Department.

The new Chairwoman of the Management Board, Dr. Heike Denecke-Arnold, emphasized the fact that occupational safety is an integral part of every company process and was duly impressed by the concept of the series of events. Participating in the practical days was time well spent, as she concluded.
On the second day, senior management also attended and gained a first impression. The feedback from the participants is decidedly promising. The main topics and hands-on stations were all rated positively across the board. Volker Hase, Head of Occupational Safety, was pleased with the positive feedback and confirmed that his team was spot on, and struck a chord. Plant division manager Dr. Kai Haas also praised the organizers and expressed his thanks for their commitment in preparing and staging the event.
