There are two important trade fair dates for the Salzgitter Group in April 2018, with the TUBE in Düsseldorf and the Hannover Messe. As different as the form of the individual fairs may be, both are important platforms for dialogue and exchanges with customers, partners and the general public. This is why there will be special events for these target groups at both trade fairs.
The international steel tube industry will convene at the Tube in Düsseldorf from April 16 – 20, 2018. The Salzgitter Group has presented itself here with its subsidiary and associated companies in Hall 4, Stand H42 for many years. The fair presentation will focus on the claim "MANNESMANN. The Tube”.
All over the world, the Mannesmann name and brand has stood for the highest quality steel tubes for some 130 years. Consequently, the name’s return has also been receiving a particularly warm welcome from international clients.
With Mannesmann, one of the steel industry's most renowned brands is out in front again. Last year, for example, all pipe-producing, fully owned subsidiaries of the Mannesmann business unit in the Salzgitter Group changed their names: Now the companies start their names with Mannesmann, just like in the past. The well-known MW-sign is the central image in the company logo for all companies. As Bernhard Kleinermann, Director Corporate Communication Salzgitter AG stated, “The brand values are tied to the old brand name again. The Mannesmann brand name was and still is an invaluable asset that we are making greater use of in our communication.”

The Salzgitter Group will be showcased its companies, products and services in Hall 5, Stand E16, and systematically continuing on the path of presenting topics from the areas of Industrie 4.0, sustainability, and renewable energies with this year's appearance. The SALCOS project (SAlzgitter Low CO2 Steelmaking) is a key point with its approach to CO2 reductions in steel production. Virtual tours through complex production plants can also be experienced with the help of virtual reality. "We are also presenting our joint projects with external partners," reports Frank Seinsche, from corporate communication and responsible for the trade fairs.
Another topic is the Direct Print Technology from the Salzgitter subsidiary KHS. Digital direct print technology facilitates the simple individual design of PET bottles in high resolution and 360-degree features, for example, for collectors' series, sponsorships, corporate events or focused, local advertising in stores. The innovative method also shortens the lead time to marketing from several weeks to just a few minutes. It makes it possible to change artwork quickly and adjust decorations flexibly, providing a crucial competitive edge.
The trade unit with the diverse steel products has long been at home in the digital world. Salzgitter Mannesmann Handel is a pioneer here with its e-WORLD, which offers customers a very wide range of modules for cooperation, depending on the volumes and levels of cooperation involved. Moreover, e-AUCTION will also be on display, which enables the auctioning of steel products.
