project have made it possible to reduce natural gas consumption in Strip Coat- ing Line 2 by a total of 25% compared to 2013.
At the end of 2013, one of the two projects saw the installation of a system to use the residual heat to preheat the fur- nace air from 20° C to 250° C at the fur- nace entrance. is not only saves natural gas, it also achieves quality optimization.
e second project on Strip Coating Line 2 directed cool air at the furnace outlet from the a erburning and into the smokestack from the is also reduces the natural gas use because it is no longer necessary to heat these cold ows with natural gas. e two measures reduced natural gas consumption by 12% in 2014 and optimized the furnace exit gate by another 12% in 2015, which represents savings of 25% since 2013.
