EUROPIPE
Large-diameter pipes have to be able to withstand high pressures to ensure a pipeline can operate safely. As a result, the quality of the weld seam should know no compromise – every millimeter has to precisely fulfill the requirements of the customer and the in- tended application. An employee at Europipe in Mülheim carefully checks the seam – with the help of a rolling platform within the pipe itself. He’s the only member of staff in the entire plant allowed to lie down on the job.
