MANNESMANN Salzgitter Mannesmann Handel (SMHD) now exclusively takes care of international marketing of MSH sections for its sibling company Mannesmann Line Pipe (MLP). The MSH sections are manufactured at the MLP plant in Hamm, where Salzgit-
ter Mannesmann Stahlhandel (SMSD) has set up a dedicated warehouse. A new logistics concept means that larger-scale orders can now be handled. International sales are taken care of through the tight trading network of Salzgitter Mannes- mann International GmbH, which has
various companies and agencies repre- senting it at major global business hubs. “Cooperation between the steel trade and MLP is a fine example of Group-wide co- operation across the business units,” says Mathias Berger, SMSD Product Manager Pipes.
