Change in the Chairman of the Salzgitter AG’s Supervisory Board

Having reached his 78th year, Mr. Rainer Thieme is laying down his mandate as Chairman and as a member of the Supervisory Board, effective March 31, 2016. Mr. Thieme has been a member of the Board since 2004 and assumed the position of Chairman on April 1, 2007.
 
In its regular meeting on March 17, 2016, the Supervisory Board appointed Dipl.-Kfm. Heinz-Gerhard Wente as its new Chairman. His term begins on April 1, 2016. Mr. Wente has been a member of Salzgitter AG's Supervisory Board since September 16, 2015.
 
The Supervisory Board and the Executive Board offer their most sincere thanks to Mr. Thieme for his strong and successful commitment to our company. They are pleased that Mr. Wente has made himself available for this demanding task.
