Sustainability strategy
Our sustainability strategy is derived directly from the “Salzgitter AG 2030” Group strategy, lending concrete shape to the general direction of travel outlined in the strategy and firmly embedding ecological, social and corporate sustainability in all areas of our value added processes. The main sustainability challenges facing Salzgitter AG have been pooled in six central focus areas, forming the priorities for our ongoing development.
Climate
We focus on measures to achieve the climate protection objectives of the Salzgitter Group. This includes a low-CO2 steelmaking process, renewable energies and carbon reduction in the value chain.
Environment
With closed material cycles and through responsible management along our entire supply chain, we are continually reducing resource consumption and increasing the level of environmental protection practiced at Salzgitter AG.
