Sustainability strategy
Our sustainability strategy is derived directly from the “Salzgitter AG 2030” Group strategy, lending concrete shape to the general direction of travel outlined in the strategy and firmly embedding ecological, social and corporate sustainability in all areas of our value added processes. The main sustainability challenges facing Salzgitter AG have been pooled in six central focus areas, forming the priorities for our ongoing development.
Climate
To achieve Salzgitter AG’s ambitious climate protection targets by 2030, we are focusing our commitment in particular on increasing energy efficiency and extending the decarbonization of our steel production.
Environment
Through closed material loops and responsible management along our entire supply chain, we are steadily reducing Salzgitter AG’s consumption of resources.
