New concept for the Hanover Trade Fair

Focus on enhancing the Salzgitter Group’s brand in future

The Salzgitter Group will be presenting a new trade fair concept in Hall 6 at the Hanover Trade Fair from April 24 to 28. “The new concept throws a spotlight on current topics, such as “Industry 4.0”, renewable energies and sustainability, particularly as these issues have a huge impact on public image. Cooperations with external partners will also be presented there,” reports Frank Seinsche from Corporate Communication who is responsible for trade fair participations. “This is why our presence and the events in Hanover are now primarily dedicated to enhancing our image.”

Trade fairs are the Salzgitter Group preferred medium for addressing its relevant customer groups at trade fairs, and it is generally there that the Group issues invites to special customer events. Since, however, the Hanover Trade Fair is no longer used by the traditional steel customers, the Salzgitter Group decided on this new approach.

Taking its lead from the official theme of “Integrated Industry – Creating Values” at the Hanover Trade Fair 2017, the Group will be showcasing “SmartConnect 4.U” of DESMA Elastomertechnik, the “True Form 3D – new customized footwear platform” of DESMA Schuhmaschinen, as well as the GESIS HelmetGlass, among other projects.

These presentations will be supplemented by other current projects on the topic of sustainability, such as GrinHy, an international research project aimed at the energy-efficient recovery of hydrogen during steel making.
