Salzgitter Mannesmann Precision grows in Mexico

The precision tubes group of the Tubes Division, headed by Salzgitter Mannesmann Precision GmbH, has reinforced its position on the high-growth North American market (NAFTA). Having acquired the Mexican company Bresmex Tuberia S.A. de C.V., the company now has its own production facilities in the country.

In future, the company will go by the name of Salzgitter Mannesmann Precisión S.A. de C.V. With its workforce of 100 employees, it manufactures welded drawn precision steel tubes in the million-strong city of Guadalajara. The company focuses especially on qualitatively high-grade shock absorber tubes for the automotive industry.

The factory started operations last April and currently has a capacity of 12,000 tons of precision tubes. Emilio Reales and Frank Sebastian Carrera Maul have been entrusted with the management of the company.
