Group Spokesman Bernhard Kleinermann to leave the company

After more than 25 years, Mr Bernhard Kleinermann, Group Spokesman and Head of Salzgitter AG’s Corporate Communication, is leaving the company in order to take on new professional and private challenges outside the Group.
 
“We would like to express our very special thanks to Mr Kleinermann for his long-standing, successful contributions to positioning the Group in the public domain. As Head of Investor Relations, he initially set about building up international capital market communication in times of change following the company’s initial public offering in 1998. As Group Spokesperson and Head of Corporate Communication Bernhard Kleinermann consistently developed the company’s communication activities from 2011 onward. In recent years, he played a decisive role in particular to raising the public profile of Salzgitter AG as a pioneer of decarbonization in steel production through the SALCOS^® (Salzgitter Low CO₂Steelmaking) project,” as Gunnar Groebler, Chief Executive Officer of Salzgitter AG, stated.
 
We will be providing information on his successor in due course. In the meantime, Marcus Heidler, Head of Investor Relations, will assume responsibility for this field of activity.
