Steel and steel products are an indispensable part of the hydrogen infrastructure that is currently under development. Hydrogen is playing a crucial role in decarbonizing industrial processes, also in the steel sector. With its SALCOS^® - SAlzgitter Low CO₂Steelmaking transformation program, Salzgitter AG is a pioneer in the industry. Mannesmann H2ready^® steel pipes are already finding widespread use in the hydrogen economy.
 
Mannesmann precision steel tubes are paving the way for e-mobility in the automotive industry. Customer-oriented application development is enabling their use as rotor shafts in electric engines and as side shafts. In addition, Mannesmann Precision Tubes GmbH develops products for mobile H₂ tanks and H₂ pressure pipes suitable for hydrogen powered vehicles.
 
The tube and pipe products of Mannesmann Precision Tubes GmbH, Mannesmann Stainless Tubes GmbH, Mannesmann Line Pipe GmbH and Mannesmann Grossrohr GmbH are sold all over the world, both directly and through Salzgitter Mannesmann Handel GmbH, the Group’s own trading entity.
