EuroBLECH 2022 - Salzgitter AG focusing on the circular economy

EuroBLECH will be opening its doors in Hanover from 25–28 October 2022. In the community of plate processing specialists, the trade fair is a marketplace for state-of-the-art developments and solutions from all areas of plate processing. The Salzgitter Group will be on location in Hall 17, Stand D78.

Under the slogan of “Your gateway to a smarter future”, EuroBLECH 2022 is showcasing digitalization along the entire value chain of plate production and processing. True to the trade fair’s slogan, Salzgitter Flachstahl GmbH is presenting innovative solutions from the field of digitalization and from the entire value chain in the steel industry by exhibiting the m2-Waggon® and a virtual model of the new Hot Dip Galvanizing Line 3. In the m2-Waggon®, Salzgitter Flachstahl is showcasing a unique system for implementing the circular economy in steel production, which is of crucial importance for the industry’s future. Fully embracing the “Pioneering for Circular Solutions” vision, this unique innovation enables coils and the resulting scrap to be combined on one wagon, making their transportation more cost and environmentally efficient. As a special highlight, trade fair visitors can take the plunge and, with the aid of virtual reality glasses, go on a fast-paced ride through the new Hot Dip Galvanizing Line 3, which will give them firsthand experience of state-of-the-art steel processing. Furthermore, a terminal will be available for visitors interested in informing themselves about Salzgitter Flachstahl’s value chain concept that is being presented.
