Heinz-Gerhard Wente lays down his office as Chairman of Salzgitter AG’s Supervisory Board

The Supervisory Board and Executive Board would like to thank Mr. Wente for his dedicated work in chairing the Board over many years and for his trust-based, unwavering collaboration. With meticulous prudence and strategic vision, he was a source of decisive stimulus in the Supervisory Board’s work. Mr. Wente headed up the Board with confidence and a pronounced sense of responsibility, also in challenging times, and played a key role in setting the strategic course – most notably in the process of the company’s transformation toward low-carbon steel production.
 
The Supervisory Board and its Nomination Committee are currently in discussion about Heinz-Gerhard Wente's successor.
