Salzgitter AG launches the "Lease a Bike" leasing offerings

• New mobility offerings combining health, sustainability, and flexibility
• More than 900 bikes already leased – e-bikes accounting for the majority
• Get your dream bike simply by converting part of your salary

Hop on and off you go: Salzgitter AG is expanding its employee offerings with a new bike leasing program, sending a clear signal in favor of sustainable mobility and health. In cooperation with its partner Lease a Bike (a 49% subsidiary of VW Financial Services), employees have been able to conveniently lease their dream bike – whether e-bikes, mountain bikes or road bikes – through their employer since the beginning of July.

"Bicycle leasing offers our employees even greater flexibility in shaping and designing their mobility, promoting exercise, while reducing burdens on the environment – a good step toward a more sustainable working world. As with other Group projects, we are working with strong partners here as well," as Birgit Dietze, Director of Human Resources at Salzgitter AG, emphasized.
 

A total of 933 bikes already on the way

The response speaks for itself: around 2,000 employees have already registered, and over 900 contracts have been signed – 91 percent of them for e-bikes. The average price per bike is around €4,150 gross.
