Salzgitter AG Acquires Majority Shareholding in ETC Bleistahl GmbH & Co. KG

The acquisition of a 50.82% shareholding in the start-up company ETC Bleistahl GmbH & Co. KG, Chemnitz, will enable the Salzgitter Group to cover the entire manufacturing chain of camshaft production by own subsidiaries. The new subsidiary produces camshafts for engine production by means of the innovative hydroforming process which provides a weight reduction of up to 60% in line with an economical manufacturing process.

Executive Board

The Chairman of the Executive Board of Mannesmannröhren-Werke AG, Helmut Koch, has been appointed a member of the Executive Board of Salzgitter AG as of July 1, 2001 until October 30, 2005, retaining his previous responsibilities.
